Dear, Seán First, I would like to send my deepest and dearest condolences to your Parents Natasha and Paul, Robyn and Carragh, Callum and Benn, and Hollai your loving soulmate, Your grandparents, aunts and uncles, and the family and many friends. Please looking after them from the Heaven and help them to get through in this hard time in their life. Please let me share you some of my thoughts. I know we didn’t know each other before. When I saw your tragic story in the news, I have lost a piece of my heart like lots of people here in Ireland and all over the world. It was a great lost for everyone, and we all never forget that day. Lots of people got heart broken. On that day I think you got a big new family from all around the World who will never forget you, what you did for others, to keep the peace in others Country far away from your home in you your short life. You lived your life the way as you always wanted to be, you loved and you been loved, and as a proud soldier, member with your second family of the Battalion in the Defence Forces. We all proud of you. Thank you for your service for Ireland, in the name of the peace and your sacrifice for all of us. As your mother said: You are a National Hero.! It is the time to say Goodbye to our young brave soldier. Rest in Peace Private Rooney. Your duty in this world is done. God has called you home. I am sure it is not the End. Your new journey has started somewhere else. We will see you again somewhere else, where everything is in Peaceful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your service. “Sleep well young soldier, your job is done your war is over and your battle won No armour now to way you down Cast it off into the sandy ground Lay down your weapon for you need it not No more bullets need be shot Take off your helmet, look to the sky For my friend it is your turn to die Have courage now, go rest in peace For the fighting here will never cease You fought bravely and with honour died You leave your family so full of pride Sleep well young soldier, your job is done your war is over and your battle won.” God Bless you. Rest in Eternal Peace, Angel. You will never be forgotten. 🇮🇪 🇺🇳 Ar dheist Dé go raibh a anam dílis

My deepest and dearest condolences to private Seán Rooney, I hope his family somehow managed to have a decent Christmas and that they know how much their family member is a national hero. I know that doesn’t make much of a difference to them but Seán’s service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. RIP solider, you’re up there with the greats❤️

I was just as shocked and saddened by the loss of Private Seán Rooney as the whole nation. He was a very young man with so much life to live ahead of him, a life cut short too young and in terrible circumstances. Words cannot convey any comfort but hopefully his family and his extended family in the Defence Forces can feel some support from the outpouring of love and support in this terrible time of loss.

My condolences to Sèan’s Mother, Fiancé, family, friends, close relatives & the members of his battalion in the Defence forces. I lost a cousin years ago at the same age Sean was. I know the pain and disbelief that ur experiencing now since a month has passed. I hope you able to find peace & happiness in the memories you have of Sean. As it has for me and still works for me! For the memories of my cousin. From what I heard. Sean was a down-to-earth, good person. And from what he died for, shows the sort of person he was. RIP Sean Rooney.
