This momentous occasion highlights the dedication, resilience, and exceptional training undergone by these young officers as they step into their roles within the Air Corps.

Over the course of their training, these officers have demonstrated unwavering commitment and determination, navigating through rigorous exercises, simulations, and challenges designed to hone their skills and prepare them for the responsibilities ahead. From mastering aviation fundamentals to developing leadership capabilities, each officer has exemplified the highest standards of professionalism and competence.

The graduation ceremony was presided over by General Officer Commanding the Air Corps,  Brigadier General Rory O'Connor, underscoring the significance of this achievement within the military community. As these young officers receive their wings, they will not only be recognised for their individual accomplishments but also welcomed into a proud tradition of service and excellence that recently celebrated its centenary.

Both the Chief of Staff and General Officer Commanding the Air Corps congratulated the newly qualified Officers and wished them well as they take the next steps in their career as pilots.

The Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Seán Clancy stated "Comhgairdeas to our newest Air Corps pilots on earning your Wings - a testament to your skill, dedication, and readiness to take on the responsibilities of this unique aspect of our service to the State. As you embark on this exciting new chapter, embrace with pride the wide range of opportunities available to you: opportunities which will develop you as Officers and pilots and enhance Óglaigh na hÉireanns contribution to the State. Approach these opportunities with enthusiasm and professionalism, and look forward to serving the Air Corps, Óglaigh na hÉireann, and Ireland with distinction."

General Officer Commanding the Air Corps, Brigadier General Rory O'Connor, stated "As the 29th Young Officer Wings Course pilots prepare to embark on the next chapter of their military aviation careers, they do so with pride, honour, and a steadfast commitment to upholding the values of the Air Corps. Their dedication to duty and service to country serve as an inspiration to all. For the families of the graduating officers, this day holds special significance, symbolising the culmination of years of support, encouragement, and sacrifice. Their unwavering dedication has played an integral role in the success of these officers, and this graduation serves as a testament to their steadfast commitment".
