Visit of the Military Advisor to UNHQ General Birame Diop

This afternoon the Military Advisor in the Department of Peace Operations, United Nations Headquarters, General Birame Diop, visited the United Nations Training School Ireland (UNTSI) in the Curragh Camp. General Diop was accompanied by Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Seán Clancy.

General Diop laid a wreath in remembrance of Irish soldiers who have lost their lives in the service of peace while serving with the UN. He also planted a tree on the grounds of UNTSI to commemorate the visit.

Following the ceremony General Diop spoke to the Joint and Land Command and Staff courses, and members of the senior enlisted forum.

General Birame Diop lays a wreath at UNTSI.
