A Parade of Defence Forces veterans' organisations will take place in McKee Barracks, Blackhorse Ave, Dublin 7 on the Sunday 01 Oct 2023 at 2pm. The day will celebrate our Veterans contribution to the Defence Forces and offers Veterans an opportunity to meet, reminisce and, importantly, pass on their vast experience to our younger soldiers. The Minister of State Mr. Jack Chambers T.D. accompanied by Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Seán Clancy & Secretary General Department of Defence, Ms Jacqui Mc Crum will be in attendance.
The focal point of the celebrations this year will be a ceremonial parade involving representative bodies from the Brigades, Formation and Services of the Permanent Defence Force alongside their retired colleagues and comrades; with representative bodies from the Irish United Nations Veterans Association, the Organisation of National Ex-Servicemen and Women and the Association of Retired Commissioned Officers.

- Arrival of the Minister of State [Military Honours] – 1400hrs.
- Veterans on Parade – 1401hrs.
- Ministerial Review of Veterans – 1405hrs.
- Address by Minister of State – 1413hrs.
- Transfer of Presidency of ONE – 1420hrs.
- Offering of Prayers – 1423hrs.
- Wreath Laying Ceremony – 1427hrs.
- One Minute of Silence – 1429hrs.
- Piper's Lament – 1430hrs.
- Last Post – 1431hrs.
- Adjustment of National Flag to Full-Mast – 1433hrs.
- Reveille – 1434hrs.
- National Anthem – 1435hrs.
- Conclusion of ceremony – 1441hrs.
