Irish Troops Return to Dublin Airport Following a Six Month Deployment with UNIFIL in South Lebanon.
232 Irish troops from the 114th Infantry Battalion, United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) will return to T1, Dublin Airport tonight, 18th November at 2.45pm following a six month deployment.
The personnel will be met by their families and friends in the Arrivals Hall. The 114th Infantry Battalion are drawn primarily from 2 Brigade with personnel mainly drawn from the North West of Ireland.
A total of 451 Defence Forces personnel deployed with the 114th Infantry Battalion. Some of the contingent have already returned home having rotated with members of 115th Infantry Battalion.
